thanks for a year’s worth of fine shows. I think I am in the group of people that have listened to all of your shows. I hope that so much time doesn’t have to pass in between each episode :???:
Have you guys looked into using skype to solve your distance poblems?

Oh. I see. You don’t love us enough for a plug. *snif*

Seriously guys, it’s been a great year of Voxi. With your help, I’ve found many fantastic shows, and avoided many horrible ones

    Thanks guys.

Shit. Creepy Sleepy. I’ll add you to the “should have been mentioned but wasn’t list. I knew I’d forget some people. So far I’ve come up with three shows, oops - four - I just remembered I should have mentioned Fake Science too - that I wanted to mention but forgot to mention.

Creepy Sleepy is definitely a show people should check out. I think you guys are making very worthwhile media.

    Miss Peter -

As for our “distance problems” see matt’s comment.

Cohry got a job at home depot. He still lives in the same town as me - close enough that I can ride my bike to his house and my little dog - part chiuaua and part corgi - can run alongside me the whole way.

But getting Cohry over here now that he has a job is proving unreasonably difficult. Don’t worry though, I’ll yell at him some more.

    Great retrospective, Eric.

Yes, be sure to bike on over to Cohry’s soon. We all need our Vox Monitor!

    Thanks Clinton!

Your show is amongst the “should have been mentioned but wasn’t” list.

Sorry about that - I knew I would forget some worthy casts, of which yours is definitely one.

Wow, being on the list is great, but being in the pole position is hot! Did somebody say, “Jerome?”

    thanks for the comment mark.

It is always very gratifying to learn that old friends are actually still listening to the show.

Great episode! I’m now a fan of Chris and Lady Raptastic. It’s been a while since a podcast made me laugh so much.

Speaking of hilarity, this episode of VM cracked me up. The Gygax skit has always been one of my favorites. But I’m with Mark: Jerome!

  11. on May 14th, 2006 at 9:33 pm

Yo Eric-thanx for th love man. I noticed for link you have me pointed to the VM show you did of mine. Would it be too much trouble to point it at http://bbluesman.com? B Joe know’s his interviews, bubble gums, and JEROME’s-bring on the pain!

Ok, b.b. it’s fixed. Sorry about that. I was “copying link locations” and must have copied the wrong one by mistake.

It’s all good Brothe E. When is Cohry gonna rig up a Home Depot marimba made out of PVC tubing? He gets emplyee discount now, so…

Actually, it turns out Home Depot doesn’t do employee discounts, much to Cohry’s disappointment.

Now that’s what I’m talking about!

    [deer blood dripping down chin]

    Mmm mmm good!

    yare

    One entry found for yare.
    Main Entry: yare
    Pronunciation: ‘yar, ‘yer, ‘yär
    Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle English, from Old English gearu; akin to Old High German garo ready
1 archaic : set for action : READY
    2 or yar /’yär/ a : characterized by speed and agility : NIMBLE, LIVELY b : HANDY 1c, MANEUVERABLE
    - yare adverb, archaic
    - yare·ly adverb, archaic

Senor Dupont, where did you find your yare definition? American Heritage Dictionary has:

ADJECTIVE: 1. Agile; lively. 2. (Nautical) Responding easily; maneuverable. Used of a vessel. 3. (Archaic) Ready; prepared.

    OTHER FORMS: yarely —ADVERB

So perhaps we could say, “I’ve never seen a more yare woman: she can dance ’til the break of dawn!”

Mine was from Mirriam-Webster, although I suspect that those two have been distracted lately by a steamy love affair …

Thanks for the kind words about the Casual Artscast, guys.

But as a long time listener, I have to wonder why you didn’t play the Griddle Cakes bit.

The first time I heard that, I laughed so hard I wet my pants, then I changed my pants, then I went back to my mp3 player and intended to push the STOP button, but I accidentally pushed the PLAY button again and then I wet my new pants.

I have to say that while Eric gets most of the laughs in that sketch, Cohry shows comedic genius once by merely saying “Oh.” Now THAT’S playing the straight-man brilliantly…

    Keep the shows coming, please.

    James

PS - Now that I think of it, that might have been Pop Goes Lethal…

thanks for the props, man. But yeah, that was pgl podcast.

Not to take away from the sincerity of Old Man’s compliment, but he has been known to wet his pants at an astounding frequency.

Thanks for another quality show. You guys, The Obtuse Angle, In Our Time, and now possibly Lady Raptastic are basically the only show I listen to with any regularity.

[In a crotchety old man voice]

I’ll wet YOUR pants, you young punk!

Why, when I was your age, I blah blah blah…
